A blend of Psychodynamic and Person-Centred Therapy

I blend Psychodynamic and Person-Centred therapy to create a space that meets you where you are. Some people come wanting to understand their past; others want support with the present. Most need a mixture of both. My approach adapts to you — not the other way around.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred therapy gives you a space to speak freely, be fully heard, and explore what feels true for you — without pressure or judgement. It’s based on empathy, honesty, and acceptance. Rather than directing you, I work alongside you, helping you reconnect with your own voice, confidence, and sense of self.

Helpful for:

  • Exploring identity and belonging (including LGBTQ+ experiences)
  • Building self-esteem and self-trust
  • Navigating life changes and transitions
  • Feeling unseen, unheard, or disconnected from yourself

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps you understand how past experiences shape the way you feel, think, and behave now. It brings long-standing patterns to the surface — the ones you might repeat without realising — so you can see them more clearly and begin to make different choices.

Helpful for:

  • Repeating relationship or behaviour patterns
  • Long-term low mood, guilt or emptiness
  • Unresolved grief or trauma
  • Complex family dynamics

In our sessions, I don’t follow a rigid structure. Sometimes we’ll look back to understand how the past still echoes in the present. Other times, we’ll focus on what you’re struggling with right now — identity, emotions, relationships, boundaries, or simply finding space to breathe. The aim is always the same: more clarity, more self-understanding, and more ease in your day-to-day life.

You don’t need to arrive knowing what to say or where to begin. Together, we create a consistent weekly space where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences can unfold at your pace.

  • Honesty without judgement
  • A space that values your identity and lived experience
  • Gentle challenge when something needs attention
  • Support in navigating difficult emotions
  • Respect for your pace, boundaries, and autonomy
  • A grounded, consistent presence each week
